Camshaft Engineering has manufactured a small range of camshafts in situations where non-availability
of standard replacement shafts, special requirements for performance enhancement, experimental engine
development, or conversion to an improved valve train design requiring a modified camshaft,
(ie, Rolls Royce Phantom II) have arisen. Applications cover Diesel and petrol
automotive, as well as motorcycle engines.
Camshafts are produced from alloy steel bar, and depending on the circumstances of engine
and camshaft design, use either selective case hardening, or induction hardening, to provide lobe
and journal durability. In some cases Camshaft Engineering has carried out finishing operations
on camshaft blanks provided by clients.
For any special requirements contact Camshaft Engineering for advice.
