Many of these engines installed in marine applications have also been serviced.
The scope of work includes cam lobe regrinding, either as conventional camshafts (up to 2.2metres length), or as individual lobes from demountable designs, roller regrinding (to parallel or special profile on the outer diameter), refacing rockers and cam lifters, and re-hardfacing and re-profiling of excessively worn rocker pad surfaces. Emergency hardface weld repair of cam lobes, and re-grind and re-induction hardening of lobes (subject to material specification) has also been carried out.
Camshaft Engineering have specially modified one of it's camshaft regrinding machines to accommodate the longer shafts, and larger diameter lobes.
